Practical workshop on scoping complex change
Program management is now recognised internationally as the best approach to handle complex and ill-defined change. Both the USA standard (PgM®) from PMI® and the MSP implementation method advise the use of benefit definition and management as the best way to manage complex change, particularly where there is a vision of an end state but the path to the solution is not yet clear. Through working with diverse stakeholder groups a set of beneficial outcomes can be defined together with key performance measures and targets that allow rational prioritisation and management of progress. A portfolio of interlinked projects can then make the tactical and operational changes.
This workshop positions benefit management between strategic visions and project definitions, then goes on to define what benefits are, how they can be defined, and how they should be assessed and managed. The workshop shows how to use benefits in a very practical way, using Case Studies and examples taken from delegates’ own environments.
This course is worth 6 PDU's for PMP delegates
